Ghana will take center stage from August 19 to 22, 2025, as it hosts a high-profile continental gathering that aims to shape Africa’s future in global marketing and technological advancement. Organized by the African Marketing Confederation (AMC), this pivotal conference is set to welcome over 500 delegates from more than 25 African countries, bringing together an exceptional mix of business leaders, marketers, tech innovators, academics, investors, policymakers, and young professionals.
In a recent appearance on GTV’s Breakfast Show, David Gowu, President of TICON Africa, and Gifty Ama Amoah, Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) and AMC Representative, emphasized the event’s significance in accelerating Africa’s global relevance through marketing and technology.

“This is our time as Africans to rise, take territories, and position ourselves globally—and we will do it through marketing and technology,” said Gifty Ama Amoah.
What sets this edition apart is not only its hosting in Ghana—widely recognized as the gateway to Africa—but also the diversity of its participants. With a strong focus on youth, who form Africa’s largest demographic, the conference will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas, building partnerships, and envisioning a competitive Africa.
The opening plenary is expected to be graced by Ghana’s President, key ministers, and top dignitaries from across the continent. Featured speakers include renowned marketing expert Professor Abu Hinson, and Professor Fred McBagonluri, President of Academic City University College, alongside other thought leaders in business and digital transformation. The conference will center on three major themes: Innovation, Standards, and Global Influence.
Attendees will engage in critical conversations around: The future of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Africa, FinTech, Cybersecurity, and Africa’s global positioning through marketing and digital strategy

David Gowu revealed that Ghana is advancing a Responsible AI Framework, aligning with broader continental efforts in ethical AI deployment. Countries like Zambia have already implemented new laws around data protection and cybersecurity, and this conference will serve as a collaborative space for policymakers and professionals to harmonize strategies and influence digital governance across Africa.
Beyond the panel discussions and tech showcases, the event is designed to foster pan-African collaboration. Gowu emphasized the need for African professionals to look inward and strengthen continental networks rather than relying heavily on Western engagement.
“Let’s build a unified African business front. The opportunities here are vast. This is the time to connect with peers from Ethiopia, Zambia, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and beyond,” Mr. Gowu noted.
Participation is open to all interested parties—including executives, entrepreneurs, marketers, IT professionals, students, and corporate teams.

Ama Amoah concluded with a powerful message:
“This is not just a conference—it’s Africa’s story in motion. Let executive directors, institutional leaders, and teams make time for it. The insights and connections made here will go a long way in boosting business growth and repositioning Africa on the global stage.”
